Formed in 1999 in , ( ), Avenged Sevenfoldis a five piece metalcoreband, mainly influenced by Metallica, Misfits, Guns N' Roses, Iron Maiden, Megadethand Pantera. They have released three full albums to date. Their first work, a 4 song EP entitled Warmness on the Soul, made way for the release of their first album, Sounding the Seventh Trumpet, which set their sound as metalcore, their sophomore follow up, Waking the Fallen, expanded the bands sound, providing a more straight metalapproach, even sounding like power metalin some parts. Their newest album, City of Evil has a different sound, lighter, more rock, but still with the same great guitar and lyrics. Their hit single on many radio stations recently have been playing a song off of City of Evil called Bat Country.
